Coulter doesn't even understand current marriage laws, a blood test? Your tennis coach?
I think the "main stream" is scared out of their wits regarding Ron Paul.
The better question is, why should government have to? Is it their job to regulate religious institutions?Ann Coulter's point being, as she has written before, that how will it be ensured that cousins or siblings do not marry and who will solemnize the marriage, your tennis coach?
The main stream media is terrified of Palin, not Paul.
The main stream media is terrified of Palin, not Paul. The Society for the Advanced Study of Ink Pen Caps has more members than there are Paul voters.
EXACTLY!
The media has no fear of Paul because they have already convinced most potential voters he is a kook, flake, etc... People mock Palin, BUT if she wasn't seen as a threat to the left they wouldn't have their panties in such a bunch. She scares the crap out of the them.
We should all be terrified of anyone who is going to continue throwing our money away on foreign wars, drug war shenanigans, "Patriot" Act, hyped-up Homeland Security, etc. I haven't seen Palin take a stand against any of that.
And you WON'T see whoever who is elected in November 2012 do it either. THAT is just reality, not what we want but reality.
Rambone you're a smart man, we cannot deal in what if's, and wishful thinking. We must be willing to be satisfied with taking baby steps to begin correcting the problems we have. First step IMO is to get rid of Obama. Kind of pointless fretting over the Patriot Act, etc... if this socialist runs the country into the ground to a point it is impossible to recover from.
Let's say Paul somehow is actually elected POTUS in '12. Do you actually think the "establishment" politicians in Congress would just suddenly 'see the light" and change course? Not very likely. He would be marginalized and most likely be a lame duck from day 1.
She scares the crap out of me because people buy the stuff that comes out of her mouth. I don't understand what makes her so qualified, she quit her last job because it was stressful.
I agree with this analysis, but getting rid of Obama should not be our number one goal. Getting a candidate that actually plans on doing something about the situation we're is more important. Contrary to what others on this board think, I don't see most of the Republicans as the lesser of two evils. In fact, they tend to advocate things almost everyone on this forum hates. I'll be voting for Paul or Johnson. Not because I think they'll win, but because I refuse to support someone just because they're not Obama. That's how Obama won the 2008 election, and that's how the next a**wipe will win it.

Is Billy O proud of the fact he doesn't understand economics? He doesn't even know who Keynes is....I hope he was playing dumb.
What exactly comes out of her mouth that scares you?
What should scare people is playing games with elections. It WILL be a Republican or Democrat elected in November 2012. BANK on it. And it WON'T be Ron Paul.
Nieve thinking that Ron Paul or ANY potential candidate like him will be elected is just crazy talk, and refusing to accept reality. We HAVE to start somewhere, and getting rid of Obama and the rest of his thugs HAS to be the first priority.
We HAVE to correct the financial situation first. While not perfect or what we really want, ANY of the Republicans would do a better job correcting the path the economy is on now. That is the first step, getting the economy back on track. THEN we can afford the "luxury" of taking on the other major problems we face. Sitting by and allowing the United States to be turned into a third world country make all the other problems small IMO. If we're all just surviving day to day, the least of our worries will be a Patriot Act, etc... who will have time to even care?

+1 Voting your conscience... novel concept!
By casting a vote for a candidate I don't respect and who doesn't share my vision for the country, I'm lying. It's like promoting a kid who can't read... or rewarding a toddler for bad behavior... or bailing out a company who continues to make bad decisions. If they want my vote, they need to earn it.
The Republican party can ***** all it wants after the election about how "independents" or "libertarians" guaranteed a Democrat win. Well, the plain truth is that, if Obama wins, it's because more people believe in his vision than believe in [fill in your favorite statist Republican]'s vision.
