The 5th Annual Marty Brown Memorial Invitational rifle match will be held Nov. 6-7, 2021 at Camp Atterbury, IN. This is an invitation-only rifle match to celebrate Marty Brown (a rifle instructor with Revere's Riders who passed away from ovarian cancer in 2017), raise awareness of ovarian cancer, and raise funds to support the outreach and support programs of Ovar'coming Together for women diagnosed with ovarian cancer. To date, the Marty Brown Memorial series of events has raised nearly $35,000 in donations to Ovar'coming Together; we are looking to push that total over $40,000 after the Marty Brown Memorial Invitational.
The rifle match is run based on the Revere's Riders Rifle Qualification Test (R3QT) at known distance from 100 to 400 yards. To participate in this event, you can show evidence of having "shot a score" of Marksman or better on the R3QT or satisfy the Event Director that you are proficient and safe enough to participate. Contact information for the Event Director is available on the event page of the Revere's Riders website linked above.
A huge collection of donated items from individuals, firearms-related companies, and other companies will be given away, awarded as prizes in "skills contests", and auctioned away during the event. Some highlights include:
The match is held on the military ranges of Camp Atterbury near Edinburgh, IN (this is NOT the public Atterbury Shooting Complex but the ranges inside Camp Atterbury used by the IN National Guard, US Army, and NRA National Matches). If you have never shot on the Camp Atterbury military ranges, then this is a unique and unforgettable event. While we are on the ranges, it is not uncommon to hear military units training with full-auto weapons, large caliber weapons, indirect fire weapons, and even A-10 strafing runs.
Come join us for an unforgettable weekend on military ranges not typically accessible to the average citizen and help us support Ovar'coming Together!
Tickets are available via request to the Event Director if you did not previously receive an email invitation with a link to the registration page. Contact information for the Event Director is available at the 5th Annual Marty Brown Memorial Invitational page of the Revere's Riders website.
