Remington m91 mosin

I picked up my Remington m91 today. I got an incredible deal on it and it is in amazing condition, only the floorplate is non matching. I don't believe it ever left the country either, but I'm not an expert on that so I could be wrong. This is my second Mosin and I'm sure it won't be the last one I'll ever have either!

Where did ya find that if I may be so nosy? Have a 1917 that has had a sporterization done to it. Only ever seen one other Remington and 3-4 Westinghouse.

Hard to tell from the pics, but from the looks of the handgaurd it appears to have been refinished, to light and shiny for the standard stock finish. Post more pics of the reciever and the stock.

A friend of mine had it lying around and he didn't want it. He went around to several gun shops to see what they'd give him for it, and after several low ball offers I offered him $200 and he took it.

Kinda looks like the shellac'd Russian stocks to me....

But a nice buy!
