This guy has been involved in 5 legal complaints from the city for whom he works. His irresponsible actions have caused the city more than $1,000,000 in reparations to the citizens harmed by this man. The cases against him include shooting a suicidal man in the back. Now he has been rewarded with the rank of Sergeant.

PPB officer involved in expensive settlements gets promoted

If you cost your boss 10-20 times your annual salary, would you be fired or promoted? Why are innocent taxpayers on the hook every time some jerk abuses his power? Can we not hold the guilty individual liable? :dunno:

It happens more often than you think. At IMPD we have several persons of rank who attained such rank even after demonstrating questionable actions. If the powers-that-be looked at previous actions/behaviors/incidents instead of only test and interview scores, the promotion of officers that really didn't need to be promoted wouldn't happen.
