Never heard about the polar vortex until this year. Looks like its coming again after the snow.

It used to be a "cold snap" but I think polar vortex sounds way cooler. Curiously I don't recall the winds being so intense in prior cold snaps. Maybe that's truly some polar spin thing?

I hadn't heard of it before, it was just as cold last year in Fargo ND as it was this year at the same time. It sucked then and it still sucks being that cold.

They've been around for awhile. In 1974, as reported by Time, it was caused by Global Cooling. In 2014, as reported by Time, it was caused by Global Warming.

I'd never heard of polar vortex or plastic snow before this year but none of it surprises me with some of the sh*t our Government has done over the past few years.

With the way the weather has been, I'm not entirely sure there hasn't been a polar shift and IN is the new North Pole.
