Please, please, please donate to legit charities / Red Cross if you can.

Most of us have probably seen pics/videos on the news / social media about how bad it is in East TN and West NC. What you see is only a small portion.

Legit humanitarian crisis in many of these areas.

People need literally everything; especially things for babies. Diapers and formula are 2 big ones.

Water jugs. Ways to keep clean water jugs clean. Water purification stuff.

My brother-in-law and his wife live near Hendersonville, NC. They're thankfully fine - so so so many are not.

What Expat said about Samaritans Purse. They were in Boone N.C. right after the Water subsided. They have set up 2 mobile Hospitals and Filling Stations for Portable Oxygen. Dollars are well spent with them.

While donating to the cause is a good thing for sure, i would use due diligence on where you donate to. For me Red Cross would not be one. Who knows what amount of the money would actually be used where needed especially since they like to spend it on illegals. Thread for reference below
