Due to my own laziness and the ridiculous amount that I sweat, I had gotten some pretty decent rusting issues on the slide of my EDC 1911, a Kimber Custom II two tone. Long story short, I took it into Pinnacle Firearms in Carmel since I knew they had recently gotten their Cerakote setup operational. Just got it back yesterday and I'm impressed at their work. This is my first experience with Cerakote but the finish looks amazing, there's zero evidence of the rust damage I caused. I'm curious to see how it holds up over time, but so far I'm impressed.
It was originally two tone, with a black slide and a stainless frame. Left the small parts unfinished stainless, kept the slide black, and went with sniper gray for the frame. Sorry, all I've had time for is a quick cell phone picture.
Good group of guys in a Pinnacle Firearms if anybody is up on the north side. It is not your normal plastic Glock and AR typical gun store as their wanting to keep it fairly small and old school.
