    § 926A. Interstate transportation of firearms Release date: 2005-08-03
    Notwithstanding any other provision of any law or any rule or regulation of a State or any political subdivision thereof, any person who is not otherwise prohibited by this chapter from transporting, shipping, or receiving a firearm shall be entitled to transport a firearm for any lawful purpose from any place where he may lawfully possess and carry such firearm to any other place where he may lawfully possess and carry such firearm if, during such transportation the firearm is unloaded, and neither the firearm nor any ammunition being transported is readily accessible or is directly accessible from the passenger compartment of such transporting vehicle:

    Provided, That in the case of a vehicle without a compartment separate from the driver’s compartment the firearm or ammunition shall be contained in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console.

    Watch for vehicle thieves there in Pigeon Forge. We went there last summer and got our Jeep Rubicon stolen. The cops told us ours was the 6th Rubicon to be stolen in about 2 months. They said the bad guys cruise around the main strip, find what they are looking for and follow you to where you are staying...then during the night while we slept they stole the jeep. It was parked right in front of our cabin with 3 other vehicles beside it.

    We have a place in TN and go to that area about 6 to 7 times a year. Only problem you will have is at the aquarium, metal detectors at the front entrance. Although it takes a bit more travel time for us I avoid OHIO completely.

    Kroger only sells Beer.....you gotta drive all the way to Gatlinburg if you want a bottle of wine, then get raped at the liquor store paying $5 a bottle more than here.

    As said you are good in TN.
    Good choice of destinations, been there a couple of times. I love gattlinberg/ pigeon forge TN.
    I stayed in some big log condos right in the middle of the two. First thing to do if you haven't been there already, Is run down to cooters garage and get a picture of you and the General!;)
