Assuming Romney (really any of the 3 other than Paul) is the republican nominee come November...
Would the Ron Paul supporters on this site, specifically the ones who say they will not vote in the general if Paul is not the nominee, be willing to vote for the Republican nominee if Paul is promised a high level cabinet position, secretary of the treasury...something like that?
How about if Rand Paul gets the VP nod from Romney or whomever?

I ask because I have seen so many on here say they are done choosing the lesser of two evils...Im not criticizing your choice to sit out I am just curious if you guys would vote for the Republican nominee if Paul has some major pull in the administration assuming Obummer is ousted.

    Thoughts?

Hell no. None of the three loons on the Republican side would make a good POTUS.

Romney wants to be POTUS of rich people only and appears to lack any core-convictions of any sort and seems to be willing to say anything, to anyone, that might get him a vote.

Gingrich wants to continue to spend us into oblivion while working 23 hours a day to find new wars to entangle us in. He is without a doubt one of the most amoral men ever to run for any public office.

Santorum wants to turn our Republic into a Theocracy and seems to genuinely dislike anyone who's not a straight, Anglo-Saxon Protestant. He too is anxious to wallow in as much war as possible.

I'll vote either Libertarian or for Obama and hope for gridlock. None of it will matter though as Obama is going to win re-election easily.

I would think long and hard. I don't think Ron Paul would go for it unless he had some real pull in the administration. The problem is that the Gary Johnson will probably be the Libertarian Party candidate and I like Gary Johnson also. It would make it very a tough decision. That would only be if Romney was president because Santorum or Gingrich dislike Paul. Ron Paul wouldn't be offered anything in either of those two administrations.

If Ron Paul isn't on there at all, it will be an easy decision for me though. Gary Johnson was a great Governor and stands for liberty.

    what difference does it make?

Voter registration and turnout in America is a joke.

Many GOPers stayed home refusing to vote for McCain and MANY many mor black voters that never cared enough to vote in the past came out and voted.

Blaming this or that little group as a means to justify your loss is a joke.

The establishment keeps throwing these Dole/Bush/McCain types at us and expects us to vote for them. The "Tea Party" elections in 2010 should have sent them a message, but it didn't work. We gave them the House and they turned their back on us.

I will only be supporting whoever is running against Obama because there will probably be 3-4 seats on the SCOTUS in play.

But I'll be buying 9mm and .223 like crazy for when Obama wins again...

Can you provide a couple examples of Romney wanting to be the POTUS of rich people to go with your bald assertion?

Gingrich wants to continue to spend us into oblivion while working 23 hours a day to find new wars to entangle us in. He is without a doubt one of the most amoral men ever to run for any public office.

Gingrish is [STRIKE]kind of[/STRIKE] a tfull on tweaker. I'll give you that one.

Santorum wants to turn our Republic into a Theocracy and seems to genuinely dislike anyone who's not a straight, Anglo-Saxon Protestant. He too is anxious to wallow in as much war as possible.

I missed that part. How exactly has Santorum proposed turning our Republic into a Theocracy?

Another Obama voter commenting on Republican politics. Please have a seat on the left by MJ.

You forgot the part where Ron Paul wants to send pirates after terrorists. ARG!

So, Santorum would genuinely dislike himself???:dunno:

The definition of WASP has been INGOized to include Catholics. Wait until I tell the men at the country club.

To answer the question, as Paulbots are Romney supporters as Paul is working for Romney, I don't see why they would not support Romney as they already do.

I am a Tea Party voter. I voted for the Libertarian last time because I would not vote for the lesser of the 2 evils offered. McCain, in my opinion would have been worse than Barry. I will do the same in November....

It isn't simply an INGO phenomenon, there has been a new voting block created over the past half century know as "judeo-christian" or simply, "christian". Never mind history, apparently a mormon=catholic=protestant=generic "chistian".http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/storie...ME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2012-02-25-03-40-48

I am 38 years old.A life time Republican.I have always voted. The past election I voted for the lesser of two evils(not Obama lol).

I was disgusted with myself.I will never vote for the lesser of two evils again.I will vote for who I feel is best for the United States of America.

This year I will vote Ron Paul,if I have to etch his name into a computer screen. The other republicans running have shown they do not care about my concerns and are clueless to what is actually causing our economic problems.

Ron Paul is the only vote I can cast and walk away feeling that I voted for who I thought was best for the job and the country.

The "he can not win" crowd who vote for the lesser of two evils can blame themselves when we continue down the road to oblivion.Me I voted for the best man for the job period.

I hope he wins, but given the anyone but Obama attitude of even intelligent men and women it does not look likely. If people just voted on who they thought was the best man for the job he(Ron Paul) would win in a landslide.

The "anybody but Obama" crowd is where true intelligence ends. I like RP's message, at least the majority of it, and while I would like to see him win, most republicrats will never vote for him. They are as scared or resentful of freedom as democraps.

No, actually its a strategic choice.
    • They are reasoning that Obama will continue to make things worse, at a faster rate, than whoever can replace him.
    • They area also reasoning that no matter how bad the choice may be, he will do less damage than Obama.
    • Further, they are also reasoning that if the best choice (Ron Paul or Gary Johnson) can't win then its better to have someone beat Obama than to simply throw away a vote by voting for a loser.
