The P226 is a great gun. I picked up a used one for a little over $900 and I love it. Mine is a 9mm to and it came with rear night sights and 4 mags but was a discontinued model. Not sure how that really affected the price though. As fare as i know $899 is a pretty normal price for one in good condition but i could be wrong. Either way you get your moneys worth.

Picked mine up about 10 years ago used for $500 with a brand new Galco holster, It was a gunshop find. Mine is a W. German marked from about '89, with night sights.

Sig 226's are worth the money. But look around and you can find them for better prices then that. I've seen the 226 mk25 for 800 on arms list. And a tacops 226 with 4 20 round mags for 750!

The price is normal average. Note that night sights are no longer a big deal, but pretty much standard. If you shop hard, you may find one closer to $800 but the difference will be aroud $80 or less, before shipping, taxes, and other extras. These pistols are top notch, but are also in abundant supply, and tend to be fired a lot by their happy owners. Therefore a used 226 will cost roughly $200 less.

Picked up a uses MK25 off the board here for the going price but you can pick other models up for around $600. I don't have a problem with used guns. Most of them have not been fired all that much.

Sig CPO 226s can be had for under $600 all day long off of Gunbroker. Some have rails and some don't. The one with rails are a little more. I bought a W. German 226 2 months ago for under $360 off of Gunbroker. I lucked out and got a Herndon,VA marked one:)

If anyone sees this. would this be a better option? i'm learning "SIG" :D
i found a store online that has the legacy slide, so short extractor which from what i'm reading is more desirable.
Says night sights but not too sure about that, i did read where someone ordered the same gun description and it did not have NS
The dealer was willing to work something out.
anyway even without NS it is only 789.00 i figure i can get NS later if desired
Exact description no pic... says Sig Sauer 226 9M SRT LGCY SLD NS

Sig Sauer 226 9M LGY NS NO RESET TRG

Sig Sauer 226 9M LGY NS NO RESET TRG
