I am in the market for a new carry firearm. I have previously carried a Springfield xd9 subcompact. I prefer to have another 9mm but need something slightly more compact. Could I get some feedback on a Sig 9mm, model suggestions and overall opinions on Sig all together?
My father in law carries a Sig P238, in his opinion Sigs are very well made guns.

The only guns SIG makes that would be smaller than an XD9SC are
1) P239, 9mm or .40 - similar height/length, but thinner; also heavier, and lower capacity
2) P938, 9mm - smaller, slimmer and lighter, but lower capacity and significantly more expensive. Also, single-action w/ manual safety a la 1911, which is a very different manual of arms than what you're used to.
3) P238, .380 - the 938's baby brother. See above.
4) P232, .380 - Walther-ish, all-metal, double-action design... if you're carrying a gun that large these days, it should be at least a 9mm.
5) 1911 ultra-compact .45
HTH!
