What kind of times do you guys think these run on the street? I don't see them hooking very well without a VHT prepped track.

I would bet in the mid to low 6's....they are running 1/8th mile.

Well, I don't know how much we will be seeing of Daddy Dave and the Goliath. He wrecked it last night at a no prep track event.

He is now in stable condition in the hospital. Heal quick Daddy Dave.

I found Daddy Dave on FB. Season 6 of the show was taped before the crash so we will see the Nova in action. He also said the Nova is being replaced by S10 for his next build.

There was a smidge about it....ribs and the normal bashing one gets on a multiple roll over after driving head on into a wall kind of this. He looked beat up but smiling.

The show is paying him well I am sure.

He messed up his shoulder more than anything. A few surgerys already. Car is totalled. They are going through the motor to make sure it's ok.

Speaking of crashes... I saw this happen live a few weeks ago. This is a 7 second Nissan GTR. About 1400 All Wheel HP. Probably has ~$160k into the car + mods. One of the main oil feed lines busted & soaked the rear tires.

Obviously a normal auto insurance policy doesn't cover drag racing if the car is streetable, wonder if you can purchase insurance for the track for instances like this?

Don't remember where I read it, but I think something on the suspension let go which is what caused him to hook left.
