Bill, I'm sure there is a bit of hypocrisy when it comes to signs and locations and where we choose to spend our time and money. I don't believe it's wavering or hypocritical to choose to disarm when you know there are consequences. The 1500 will escort you out and trespass you immediately. They make it clear what their actions are concerning carry.

I can't say that I disagree with them based upon the actions of the few who ruin it fore everyone. I've gone to the 1500 and disarmed because I knew what the consequences were and decided it was worth it. I don't like it, and I think it's just like any other place infringing on my right to protect myself. But I'll do it if I want to attend the event. That's my choice.

Your choice is to not patronize any brick and mortar store that actively or passively infringes on your rights. That doesn't mean you can't make an exception in your beliefs for certain events or locations. Everyone compromises every day.

I get that most of the time, people who put the signs up are probably sheep thinking that it will deter criminals and keep crimes like armed robbery from happening. They don't consider the ramifications on legal carriers unless they are already militantly anti. They just figure, like the cartoon, that the bad guys will figure that the signs mean that they can't do their nefarious deeds and will go away. Sad thing is, they couldn't be more wrong.

We'll just have to keep doing what we do and do what we feel is right.
