He is certainly posing with the fish, which is obviously being suspended from something. What it is? I don't know - but surely it was set up for this picture.

That fish is HUGE.... I've never hooked a striper.. if you want a good fight, go surfcasting off Cape Cod in the fall... I hooked a 2ft bluefish off the West Dennis beach... in SPRING.. was the greatest fight of my life! only lasted 5 mins, but after making almost no progress, i put the pole over my shoulder and walked up the beach to haul him in. The fall blues, after spending the summer in the south feeding and fattening up, are enormous!
