YouTube - Nashville Tennessee Flood 2010
Now, how much is political?
They weren't using Nashville as a martial-law training camp.
Central and southern Indiana saw significant flooding a couple of years ago, but it was in mostly rural areas so it didn't really affect that many people. I think part of the reason that New Orleans got so much more coverage than Nashville has to do with the fact [strike]that being on the coast it was almost inevitable that some day New Orleans would get hit with a huge hurricane and when it did there was a lot of build up in the days leading up to the storm[/strike] that victims of Katrina were largely middle to lower class and not necessarily white. Let's also not forget that a good majority of the Gulf Coast got whooped by Katrina, it wasn't just New Orleans.
