Anybody go? I assume its a typical gun show of over priced stuff or is it worth going to

I went. It was an excellent show. Not as big as some with only 1500 tables, but the next one (April?) will have 2000 tables. I found lots of good deals - just wish I'd have had more money! :): If you're in to the latest black rifles and modern handguns, then this show probably isn't for you, although they did have more modern guns than usual there today. If you're into vintage firearms, then this is definitely the show to go to. I sold a gun, bought a gun, then traded that gun for another one about 20 minutes later. :D

This was my first National Gun Day. It was not my cup of tea. A lot of older firearms and things of that nature. Great for collectors but I'm more interested in modern day firearms. Was nice to has isles that i could actually move in though.

I thought there was a good mix. Evil black rifle vendors were swamped, you could hardly get through those aisle. Anderson complete lowers for $150, I should have grabbed another... got me a free float handguard, front folding sight (that I now am not going to use), some magazines, a scope to try out, some misc odds and ends but I forgot to find a low profile gas block.

Went yesterday and took a buddy who is a Colt collector and first time attendee. This was probably my 25th-30th show. The date change definitely impacted some of the big national dealers as they were clearly missing from the mix. More local guys in attendance. From the collecting standpoint the quantity and quality were a little down from where they typically are. The shift in dealer mix showed. There more modern and evil black guns present. A few more ammo and parts guys. More military guns that some previous shows. My buddy picked up a nice Colt 1911 and a Bond Derringer. I scored a like new Remington 700BDL 338 WIN MAG and a 4 barrel pepperbox 22LR at a real reasonable price. After seeing NGD, my buddy is done with the 1500 and will be attending this show. Lots of foot traffic this time but fewer guns for sale at the door.
