It's an M38 1943, no bayo. Got it at a pawn shop when I still lived in WA state 3 years ago for $80.

Ha, $80 for an M38 is a pretty good price.

Que, don't rule out the M44...They are basically the same rifle, but the M44 has a non-detachable bayo(that folds under of course) and they are cheaper.

Eh, not to promote an epic thread's jacking, but buy an M38 and an M44 both, I did. You won't regret it, they're awesome guns. They'll practically multiply in the safe.
