Did anyone see that weird plane fly over around 3:00??? I was out in the yard doing yard work and could hear it over my weed eater. Just curious to what type it was.

I am 60 odd miles south of Indy, but I got good eyes on an Osprey today south of Bloomington and over near Lake Monroe.

I was told they are running hops from Crane to Atterbury?
I have no idea if that is correct, even if it is, doesn't explain the Indy sighting.

It is one-hell-of-a-lot louder than a helicopter, but it sure looks awesome!

I would be surprised. I got to see an Osprey land/take off at Monroe County Airport. They landed there because they didn't want to land at Crane. But then again, that was a good 3-4 years ago so maybe they've figured out something by now!

Yesterday while I was mowing my grass (about 2:30 ish) I heard a military jet fly over and didn't bother looking at it .

Living here by the airport I'm used to the noise but when I heard it coming again I looked up to see an F-18 Hornet about 150 ' up with gear down .

Because I didn't look the first time I don't know if there were two or if it was just the one but it was still pretty neat to see it .
