Saw more ammo at the Southport Meijer this afternoon. Looked like at least 12 boxes of Winchester .44 mag and several boxes of what I think was 7.62x39. All of it under $20 a box. I don't shoot either. Just sharing info.
Mishawaka has two Meijer stores and neither of them has more than a couple boxes of handgun ammo at any given time. Usually have some shotgun and oddball rifle ammo.
Haven't checked since pre-holidays but Muncie Meijer had kept a few boxes of 7.62x39, .30'06, .270 Win and the odd box of .30-30 on the shelf, mostly Winchester, rarely any pistol rounds though (though the occasional WWB 100pk of .40 or .45 sprang up...for short duration). Haven't seen anything but Shotshells / slugs at Anderson though.
30.06 and shotgun ammo for the Marion Meijer. Only pistol ammo I've seen in there for the last year was wwb .45 and that was a long time ago. Our Wal-Mart and Big'R are doing a lot better with the exception of .22
