Maximum legal indiana pistol length

I was wandering if anyone knows the maximum length in Indiana that a pistol is stiil considered a pistol. The reason I am wondering is that I have an AR pistol in 6.8spc that in its current configuration is just a hair shorter than 26". As a pistol it is legal to deer hunt with in indiana. I would like to run a different muzzle brake and different/ longer pistol buffer tube, which would put it over 26"... Would it still be considered a pistol by Indiana laws or an AOW or something else. If not a pistol it would loose the legal abilty to be a legal deer hunting weapon in Indiana and is the reason I'm asking, Thanks

It's still a pistol at any length unless you put a stock on it.

"Handgun"
Sec. 6. "Handgun" means any firearm:
(1) designed or adapted so as to be aimed and fired from one (1) hand, regardless of barrel length; or
(2) any firearm with:
(A) a barrel less than sixteen (16) inches in length; or
(B) an overall length of less than twenty-six (26) inches.

Here is a short video of one of the ar pistols this one measures in at 24.5" and is in 7.62x39... I haven't taken a video of the 6.8spc one yet. The 6.8 shoots flatter with a little less recoil... but still has a huge BOOM!! http://youtu.be/8DLVX1S9Yj0

I just conceal carry with a inside the pant holster... Its the only way I can impress the women.

Hmm... I wonder if the ATF considers the buffer tube a shoulder stock if it's being used as such?

a weapon designed or redesigned, made or remade, and intended to be fired from the shoulder

My thought is that its hard to argue that it wasn't intended to be fired from the shoulder when you post a video of yourself doing so.
