Why not contact the state police firearm section and see if they can tell you? Not sure if they can give you that information or not but did you ask them?

The reasoning from them is on the letter I got. Which is why I'm seeking legal advice before contacting them. The info I have doesn't match their info.

Could be that they are looking at info about someone with the same name. I would call ISP and ask them what you need to do to straighten it out???

I would call Indiana State Police first, to see if you can clear it up yourself.
If not, I would contact Guy Relford, info in post 3
