Louisville Carry - Convention Center

Poked around a little bit and could not find what the rules were with regards to conceal carry at the convention center. Heading down this weekend. Did not see any laws that made it illegal but was curious if they had any policies. I can't imagine any heavy security at the event I am attending.

I would imagine it would have as much to do with the event in question.
Some events don't seem to generate the same degree of scrutiny as others.

I have carried there in the past, not sure if anything changed. There was no security at the doors, no detectors or anyone checking.

I was there last weekend. There is no checkpoint to get into the building, but individual events may have security checks. The gun show I went to had signs and security.

Not in a post office. Some places are off limits regardless of open or concealed. The difference is if you make a mistake and carry concealed most likely no one will notice. It looks as though in this case it's ok. but some places have specific laws when the fair is going on. I believe the NRA convention was held there a few years ago, and is scheduled for 2016 as well. I don't have a legal source, but the open carry forum discussed it a bit.

No problems at all this weekend. Concealed carried for the whole event. Did not recall any signage and did not notice any security in the areas I was at. With as many doors as the building has they would have a hard time creating the choke points necessary to enforce a gun free zone.
