I recently inherited some cool old pieces from my Grandfather that I would like to have restored/repaired to good shooting condition. Several need parts replaced and/or repaired. I can order those that I can find from Numrich's and Wisner's, but there are some things that I cannot tackle myself. Here's a short list of some skills I'm looking for:
1. Integrity assessment - that is, is the gun still safe to shoot? Can it shoot modern loads? etc.
2. Engraving - I would like to have some of the original engraving deepened, or re-created as it's been worn smooth or nearly so.
3. Minor fitting of replacement pieces.
4. Possible need to install bore liner.
Thanks for any suggestions.
