Looking for a scope for an ar, any ideas?

Looking to buy a scope for an AR. anyone got any they want to get rid of, or have any idea's? i havnt decided exactly what i want yet.

I finally put an Acog on mine and its a great optic choice for the ar platform.

I have an EO-Tech if you want to purchase it... I replaced it with an ACOG... worth every penny.

The one I posted is actually two scopes.

Its the Acog and the TNVC RDP II MINI RED DOT SIGHT with the trijjicon mount for the RDP.

The pic isnt mine and mines not for sale. Sorry was just recommending a set up. Once you use the acog you will understand the expense. You can hang out on ar15.com and buy a used one for 800.00 or so.

Green04.......that ACOG is the TA31F with a mini red dot sight mounted on top. IIRC I sold the scope for $650, the mini red dot sight and mount would have been another $175 but the buyer didn't want it.

Brand new the TA31F will run around $1100.......I've bought used ACOGs for between $500 and $750, depending on condition and age.


Decide what you want to do with the rifle, and what kind of price you are wanting to spend on an optic. I have had everything from cheap red dots to ACOGs, and it is hard to find a "one scope to do it all".

Might want to consider a Millett DMS-1 scope. It's a 1-4 power with an illuminated red dot reticle. A bit of a hybrid between a red dot scope and a traditional glass optic. Runs around $240 plus the mount.
