    I'm sure you've heard of it... you make a list of three things to "freak out" or majorly confuse the cashier. Here are a couple of classic examples:

    Donuts, donut holes, glue.
    Breast pump, dixie cups, Oreo cookies.
    Shovel, Rope, Bleach.


    Hard mode: No prophylactics.

    I actually legitimately bought the following at Lowes one day:

    Duct tape
    6mil sheeting
    extension cord
    Staples
    electric Staple gun
    windex


    A coworker happened to be checking out next to me. He looked over at what I had and said "You know, you should have gone to the ace hardware up the street. Now you are on camera buying all that stuff." We laughed.

    Then the cashier asked the reflex "did you find everything you needed?" It was all I could do to not answer "well, I also needed some lime, but the garden center doesnt sell it". She was already looking at me funny.

    (I was sealing up a room to make the AC more efficient)
