Too bad almost every city and town park bans arms.
We (my family) made the trek all the way to Pontiac, MI for a open carry picnic in the town park. 60+ OCers. It was a blast.
I see ATM on that forum occassionally.
I do like the idea.
Trying to think of something to make it more special that day.
Maybe I'll carry an extra gun in an ankle holster
...with shorts and sandals, of course.
The police (especially me) won't respect you unless you wear socks with your sandals. Preferably grey wool socks with the red stripes around the top.
I guess I'm off to buy some new socks. All mine are polka-dotted
Oh, and the sandals, can they be the "Greek fisherman" style sandals or is there some special "open carry" sandal that I need to get to coordinate with grey wool socks?
Choice of sandals is up to you. But you must wear socks.
All kidding aside, I have never heard any negative comments from IMPD officers about those that have participated in the 2 previous 2A marches. Keep up the good work.
OK, just curious, are you on speaking terms with them
We have had these walks before...I have literature I printed up that we pass out to individuals we pass by as we are on our walk. The past walks were successful to a degree. You'll find some nay sayers on here that will attempt to discourage you and tell you that there are dangers in exercising your rights. Each walk, we had police escorts that followed us and also sometimes held traffic so we could all stay together. At the last walk I believe we had around 38 walkers, including a few children that were carrying AR's. You are more than welcome to this literature for handing out, and if it is organized anywhere mid Indiana I'll more than likely participate.
