Sitting here eating my leftover breakfast from Sunday, I thought I ask how many people really eat their leftovers when they bring them home from a restaurant.
i almost always eat it when i get home from the restaurant, lol.
then my wife never eats her leftovers so i get those the next day for lunch or breakfast
I usualy order a lot more than I will eat on purpose so I can take something home for a snack. usually I will order a couple appetizers and eat them and take 3/4 of the main entree home.
I recently started asking for a box when the food is brought. Portions being as large as they generaly are, and usually having a salad to start, 1/2 to 2/3 of a meal is more than enough.
For a while, my girlfriend and I got into the habit of either sharing an appetizer or having salads to start then splitting an entree. Kind of tough in some restaurants though.
Went out to eat with some friends from France a while back. They were sorta taken aback by the offer of a to-go box. Apparently this is not common in the EU.
Yep, if there are leftovers, they always come home and get eaten. I'm with ESRanger though, a lot of times they get eaten within a couple hours of being home. Haha.
We don't even ask for a box anymore. We'll either forget it when we leave or it will sit in the fridge until we throw it away. I wish my wife and I were not as wasteful, but it is what it is.
