I don't see any LAW rockets, frag grenades, mortars, Abrams tanks, etc. You know, military weaponry. Other than the CS grenades I really didn't see anything that isn't legal for a non-cop to own (at least outside Kalifornia). LAPD must have a secret website where they show the good stuff.

Its not a flamethrower, it is a burning CS cannister. Last I heard though, LAPD doesn't have "deputies."

And if the military was used, instead of local law enforcement, I can only imagine the howls of protest. Like it or not, we don't live in 1950 anymore. There is a threat out there that Barney Fife is not equipped to deal with. Instead of complaining, please outline how it should be done to not offend your sensibilities.

Simple.

If it's a military operation, use the military.
If it's a police operation use the police.
