Well I didn't see any post for it yet, so I thought I'd go ahead and make one.
Lafayette Guns and Gear
2420 Glick St
Lafayette, IN 47905
(765) 446-8285
This shop is pretty small, but they seem to have a great staff. Don't really know any of them since I just stated on the hand gun scene here in Lafayette, but they all seemed very knowledgeable, and willing to help out a newbie. They have hand guns, long guns, accessories, a bit of ammo, clothing/gear, and on the other side of the store...scrubs, etc.
From what I can gather from the 4-5 times I've been in there, they have about 3 employees. I don't know any of their names, but they seem to have the gunsmith, middle aged man (bald maybe, don't remember), the "resident hippie", you can miss him, great guy to shoot the **** with, and the administrative staff, a really nice lady that does all the forms/cash and I think the "gear" (scrubs, police gear, etc) side of it too.
My roommate and I went in there one day to check out the hand guns they had, and spent about an hour talking with the "resident hippie". He answered all our questions, and didn't seem to mind our ignorance on the subject. We both ended up buying from him that same day as well. We have both been back a few times to look around and ask some more questions, even had them put on the extended slide lock for our G22s.
Anyways, post is getting a little long and I'm starting to ramble, but all in all its a great shop, and will be my first stop from now on in the area.
