I don't agree with it, but when we discuss laws we should be correct.

    Adversely affected.

Sort of like different officials, towns, etc all saying different things are the law, and they're NOT.

Sorry, to me that seems like ALL CITIZENS are adversely affected.

The only reason to make laws confusing for people, is to trip people up.

my email and response to the Thunder rule changes for this year,

    From: Les Merkley (lmerkley@CityofJeff.net)

I'm not aware of any local ordinance that prohibits the carrying of firearms within the city. In fact, state law preempts local government in this area. State law prohibits local government from adopting any law that regulates possession of firearms.

Hi just a quick question. I was hoping to see the thunder this year, but I was just made aware of city rule forbidding weapons. Is this a new rule this year or have I been breaking the law every time? In years past I have open carried my handgun with no problems. If I do join in the fun this year, what will the charge be if caught?

    Thank you

The only way to fix this is for a people to not carry down there because of their ordinances and complain later because if you carry you were not adversely affected. The Hammond suit didn't affect the person because they carried anyway.

That is why I have Bryan Ciyou's book. It has all the local regulations in it. We are lucky to have a book with all of our gun laws and regulations. We are the only state where this has been done.

How do we get anything done? No matter what you do, you're breaking some law somewhere.

I emailed led the Clarksville police chief. This was his response...

As long as you have a permit than your fine and if you don't than you won't be bringing your firearms to Thunder.

    Thanks

    my reply simply stated this...

i dont need need a permit to open carry.

Don't need a permit to open carry? If you're in IN you do!

Lest you'll be carrying a rifle?

Just a clarification. I have no intention on open carrying a long gun. But I do plan to CC a handgun. However, if someone wants to open carry a long gun in support of gun rights, I say more power to them.
    [/QOUTE]
    Handgun = ltch needed
What is "itch"? If this is an acronym for a permit, I have one. If you meant something else, please clarify.

    Where's the bacon?
Hmmm, it shows me as aking that question in the quote. Odd, very odd.

That's a result of how you did post #130. When you closed the "quote" tag, you typed [/qoute]

    The correct spelling of
in post #132 closed YOUR quote (handgun=ltch), along with Djangotarantino's.

    Hope that helps. :)

    Blessings,
    Bill

    2 things...

    1. Handguns were never mentioned. He just said "no guns ". My thoughts were that if someone had a long gun and was open carry, they wouldn't need a permit. I was making sure he wasn't going to come back and tell me that was illegal.

    2. I DO have a permit.
