I do just in case something happens to my Tavor or I can't get to it. And because the budget doesn't accommodate an M4 yet.

I still ask the question, :ingo: why do you need yours?

I have many possessions I don't "need". I have a 200-something HP truck, capable of running over 90mph, pulling trailers, sucking a lot of gas--who needs that? I have fire extinguishers -- if my house isn't on fire, why do I need those? My house has over 3 bathrooms -- who needs more than one? I have multiple TVs in my house -- who needs more than one?

I have that stuff, along with an AR because I want it/them. I might have use for it or I might have it just because I find it enjoyable to own. If we're going down this road of having the government regulate stuff we "need", sooner or later, they'll come after something you don't need.

What I don't NEED is the government or anyone else all up in my business.

Same reason I need any other guns I may or may not have. Or the golf clubs. Or the softball bats. Or the hammers which are statistically more dangerous than AR15s. Or the one vehicle for each driver in our home. (Man, talk about dangerous!) I WANT 'EM, THAT'S WHY!

Because there are evil forces at work that run in packs and gangs. And we voted for a lot of them.

    ^^^This^^^

The only thing that has kept our government in check is the 2nd Amendment. ARs and AKs are what 2A was about. The people need to have a credible level of power to keep our government in check.
