Seems like you're trying rather hard to convince yourself.

If you'd bought a 1911 or a CZ, you wouldn't have that buyer's remorse and the subsequent need to rationalize why you bought a G23.

    Just sayin'

    Pretty much no.

I watch a lot of people SUCK at shooting the .40 cal guns, specially the lightweight ones, and since how well you shoot is THE most important factor.....

    Nope.

    You forgot:

    Eighth, double its weight.

    Ninth, Half its capacity.

Tenth, make it finicky with a wide variety of ammo.

    :p

I agree with the weight statement (hard to knock some one out with a revel model car...personal experience)

    Shoot better.....WTF....capacity is cool, I have 12 and 14 round 1911's but the EDC is a 10.

Mine all run about anything I feed them and I do not feed them junk. If you can not afford the Hi-test gas for your hot rod, shoot a .22

Gosh, I feel so much better now........................:rockwoot:

    Carry on

    I traded my 23 for a new S&W Shield!

    More for me....thank you.

P.S. I will be at Pops around 1:15 for any naysayers, come by and shoot with me, (not at me), and you can try mine.

the glock is the best gun ever if....
You want a 1980's model gun
    you want a horrible trigger
you want a gun made by a company who is running behind a few other companies in design and function

There is one thing that has always perplexed me with a few of the Glock guys and that is that some seem to want everything else they shoot to have a Glock-like trigger. Really, there aren't any ~$500 striker guns that I can think of that have amazing triggers out of the box, and I'm not a huge fan of the "progressive" Glock feel (though it works well enough I suppose).

Glock 23 is a good firearm.
But I'd hesitate saying the perfect one.
I'd think the perfect firearm would be the one that is with you when needed that can accomplish the task at hand.
I do have to say, "WOW!" If you can ankle holster/carry a Glock 23 and it be completely concealed, you are obviously a much larger person than I.

Is the Glock 23 possibly the best pistol ever? Look at the facts.
    1) It's a Glock
    2) .40 S&W is maybe the ideal caliber
    3) It is almost perfect in size: It wears very well on the belt and can be easily
concealed even in an ankle holster
    4) It is capable of very good accuracy
    5) It will accept a conversion barrel to turn it into a 9mm
    6) It will accept magazines from it's big brother, the 22, for a total of 15 plus 1
    ammo capacity
    7) It's still only $499 at a lot of gun shops

    Wow ha

Not sure what the forum rules are on profanity/graphic content (despite reading the FAQ) but this has to be the most flagrant form of forum based self masturbation I've seen...EVER. I hope this thread was made in jest. Glocks have a cult following, a consistent basic dependability, and some inconsistent undesirable flaws. Get over yourself. There are some better, and a lot worse. Your weapons are tools. If you're a craftsman (pun intended) you can use a lot of different tools to complete the same job.

    Stroker.

Let's see what the problem could be. Hmmm. Okay. Try wearing one size bigger underwear and that should solve your attitude problem.
