Is it possible to have a front sight installed on an airgun?

Howdy folks. I've been using airguns for a while and recently came to the conclusion that I like iron sights more than scopes for these types of rifles. I was wondering whether it would we be possible to attach a Williams Firesight front sight to my Crosman/Benjamin Titan NP. If it is possible to mount one to my airgun, would the price be astronomical or reasonable. Would you guys recommend any gunsmiths in the Indianapolis area for this? Thank you for your time. -Ben

Anything is possible if you can throw enough money at it. I was not aware that quality air rifles did not come with metallic sights installed.

Without seeing the airgun, and only going off of pictures on the internet, I would say probably not. Due to the fact that most, MOST Williams Firesights are dovetail sights. I'm not sure if there is enough metal, and/or if the metal is strong enough to support the sight. If you were to find a sight that had holes to where you could drill and tap the barrel, that MIGHT work. But still, don't think the barrel will support the drilling and tapping.

Airguns I have seen are just a metal shroud. Typically these shrouds are 1/16" or less.

Ben, There is a barrel band clamp on front sight system that had lengthwise dovetails to accept redfield style globe sights. The people who can help you are in LaVergne, Tennessee. It is called Champions Choice. They specialize in olympic grade target rifles, including small bore and air rifles. If a sight is made for your use, they will have it, or know about it.
