    The numbers mean the speed in which you can upload/download something. People get bits and bytes confused. You would need a 8 Mb/s speed in order to download a 1 MegaByte file in 1 second. 8 bits in a Byte. Mb=megabits MB=megabytes

    Necro post, got to bring this back from the dead.

    Bright House increase their Lighting speeds, so I ponied up the
    additional $5.00 to bump it from a 40mb line speed to a 60mb one.

    Looks like I got the better end of the deal. :rockwoot:

    I'll blame my house having 54 year old wiring in it. On the plus side, my internet is free - reimbursed by my employer since I'm part of an on call rotation (I'd gladly pay my own internet and not be on call like I have been for the past 13 years.)
