    3. Does your event qualify as a Gun Show?
A Gun Show or other qualifying event is defined in
27 CFR 478.100(b) as a “gun show or an event is a
function sponsored by any national, State, or local
organization, devoted to the collection competitive use,
or other sporting use of firearms, or an organization or
association that sponsors functions devoted to the collection,
competitive use, or other sporting use of firearms
    in the community.”
If you can answer “yes” to both of the following questions,
your event does qualify as a gun show.
Is this event a function sponsored by any national, State,
    or local organization?
Is that organization devoted to the collection,
competitive use, or other sporting use of firearms, or
(as well) is it an organization or association that sponsors
functions devoted to the collection, competitive use, or
other sporting use of firearms in the community?

Well isn't INGO such an organization? So, would it not be considered a gun show? What am I missing?

This is the most horriblest idea for an event ever!! I'll be there, drool in hand! My question: Are you sure the clubhouse is big enough for this?

PS, I just bashed myself in the teeth with a spoon. :xmad:

It is, but remember, this is an "open house" event. That means come and go at your leisure. It is not necessary to stay for the whole time...

I have 0 AR platform rifles, but I'll likely come and check out everyone else's.

I just have a few questions:

    1. Can I bring in live ammunition, chambered in an AR-15?
    2. Can I bring an AR in parts, to be built?
    3. Can I bring my SKS to be shown off?
    4. Will dealers be selling guns?

    I kid! :D

Count me in. I'll bring my mutt of an AR I use in Carbine classes. Sorry only one AR right now, everything else is either torn about for mods, in the process of being built for SBR (two thumbs up) and I sold the Ciener belt feed AR which is now onw on the front of SAR magazine. :rockwoot:

Sorry fo the late reply, got side tracked on things and Mark reminded me and the 1500 yesturday.

Got pointed here from my "find an AR for the wife" thread. Definitely thinking this is a good idea. Will ask and see but I think this is a GREAT idea for us.

I would like to attend but on that day I will be in Texas for work.

If the event goes well, can I assume there might be a second similar event at some point in the future ?

I already have a request into ATF.

I'll be there along with the gf (she actually asked to go with). I'm looking to get my first AR-15 with my tax return so I'm looking for ideas. Thinking it will be a fun range gun, but may do some coyote hunting with it as well.

...My hands are ready to fondle...

I plan to attend, but don't think I'll bring my AR. There's nothing special about it, so I doubt anyone will be missing seeing anything that isn't already there.

I think this will definitely be a good opportunity to meet other gun people, and talk about guns (not to mention look at a bunch of them!).

I saw a post saying something about handing out name tags to those bringing guns. I'm thinking I will bring my own name tag with my real name (Tom) and my INGO handle. Be cool if lots of other folks did the same- for anyone not already familiar with everyone else on the forum, it will be a good way to get acquainted.
