how many hours are normal for a bulbs life?

The Normal lamp life is a minimum of 2000 hours

I should say its rated at 2000 hours on maximum brightness, but actual hours depend on brightness, the care and maintenance of the projector. Not allowing it to cool down and pulling the plug while its hot will decrease the lamp life significantly as will being in a dusty environment. I ran this projector at less than maximum brightness when I used it, and always allowed it to cool down before shutting it off.
