the actual drop was silly. It looked like something out of a parody movie or an SNL skit.

The Fox 59 coverage was really trying to over-sell it. You could tell even they thought it was lame.
It looked kind of dangerous too. I've been around cranes, lifting loads and whenever you see that load swinging and swaying like that...there's a pucker factor I reflexively sense.
No engine in them, so the weight is less. Cars are designed to shatter on impact, to help absorb energy... it's all good
