More like, because our money is being devalued every day

The Census Bureau reported that median real household income fell from $76,330 in 2021 to $74,580 in 2022, a decline of 2.3%. This was the biggest drop since 2010, when it fell 2.6%. Even at the height of the pandemic, when government lockdowns put millions out of work, real income only fell 2.2%.

The cause of falling incomes is no mystery: Bidenflation is to blame. Thanks to trillions of dollars in economic stimulus passed by Democrats on a purely partisan basis without even one Republican vote, inflation jumped 7.8% between 2021 and 2022, the largest increase since 1981.

Well, upon closer inspection, I'm confused.
One tag says made in Italy.
    Another says Elkhart, In
There is a cam lock in the center of the frame that allows it to fold in half.
    The entire bike is there.
Both wheels, both fenders, I have a leather seat, even the kick stand is still there!
The pedals turn but I think the coaster brake is stuck.
All of the spokes are there and none are bent.

I have no idea what I have here, but I fully intend to find out.

I wonder if you could reach out to Mike Wolfe on "American Pickers"? He seems to know everything about old bicycles. How old would you estimate it to be? When I first saw "Indian" I thought of the Indian motorcycle company, but I think it looks too new for that.

You just had to go there, didn't ya?

As it turns out, we DO have drama!
I signed the sales agreement last Saturday (electronically) and forwarded it to the realtor.
She presented my offer on Tuesday since Monday was a holiday.
Seller signed the agreement on Tuesday evening.

Wednesday morning my uncle took a friend of his to show him my new property.
One half mile before they got to the property they passed a pickup pulling a large trailer with a large shed on it. MY shed!

When they pulled into the property it was obvious that someone had been there since we where there yesterday.
The drive was mowed, and a path mowed to where my shed used to sit.
This was a brand new shed, about 12'x12' and in pristine condition.
This shed was on the property when I first looked at it on Sept 3rd.
It was there when I signed the purchase agreement and it was there when the seller signed the purchase agreement.
The very next day someone hauled it off!

Nope. Ain't going to stand for this...I called the realtor.
Realtor called the seller and got back with me hours later.
Realtor said that the seller said the shed was not supposed to go with the property.
One of the family wanted it.
The realtor then said that a neighbor was going to come haul away a Mustang in the drive and the seller had someone else that was coming after a Dodge van in the drive.
Seller said she was going to get $100 for the van.

    Well, I call bullsh#t.
I told the realtor that I had been in touch with my attorney and he assured me that I should have every legal expectation that the shed (and cars) that were present on the property at signing, would be there, on the property, when I took possession.
I told the realtor that I wanted the shed returned, or I wanted $3-4000 reimbursement for it.
I also told her that I already had a mechanic scheduled to come inspect the vehicles to tell me what they were worth.
I told the realtor that nothing else was to leave the property, and I still want the shed back or I want paid.

I told the realtor, just between her and I, that this would NOT be a deal breaker.
I was going to uphold my end of the agreement regardless, but I told her I'm going to play the a**hole here.

No word today about my shed but no big deal.
I just made arrangements to purchase a 20'x8' sea crate cargo container for $1500.
This will be a much more substantial shed anyway, but I'm still going to push this issue.

What they did is called theft.
Don't ever cut a thief an inch of slack.

Spent all day there today, ok,ost of the day.
    It is Sunday afterall.
    No pics today.
    It started raining.
I did manage to clear the debris from 2/3 of the upstairs.
One room left up there, then a mud room and shop area on the back and the entire structure will be cleared!

The other room upstairs will have to wait.
Tomorrow is going to be a perfect day and I'm taking advantage of it by putting on a new roof.

Btw- Found enough shingles (lifetime warranty) to do the entire roof on the clearance rack at Menards.
Talked to the manager and got them for half price!
    Was $39.95/ bundle.
    I got them for $20/@

Well, not really, but I could see someone throwing a hissy fit over these.
I'm going to clean the up and use them.
I'm not one to collect salt and pepper shakers, but...

    Found these I'm the house.
Also found a picture of my uncle!

Found a 1955 Jefferson High School Nautilus ( yearbook) with my uncle's pic and name.

    IMG_20230918_174540786.jpg
The two on the left are salt and pepper shakers.

Big one is a Suger shaker I believe, and the small one on the left is a bell.
