i was just wondering (and tell me if this is a stupid question), are the gen 4 dual recoil springs interchangeable with the gen 3 single rate springs? if so would it be worth it to put one in my gen 3? thanks ~ Matt

Great info and pics Mvician !

For those who shoot alot of cast reloads... I also believe there is a dimensional difference somewhere on the barrel so a Gen 3 after market barrel wouldn't work in the gen 4. Hopefully someone will correct me if this isn't correct.

the cutout for the recoil spring is slightly different on the gen4 barrel

some have used their gen3 aftermarket barrels in the gen4's and had no problems

Don't really know if I like knowing that ! LOL During the time I thought it would not work, the decision as to what gen to buy was clear to me. Having the ability to use barrels I already had will be one of the factors I weigh in deciding which gen I buy next.
