Is this real? Can I get one really?

Yes, they are, but I would recommend spilling a bottle of Hoppees instead. It would last longer and be cheaper. I have one in my car, but its only for decoration at this point, lost its smell within a week of opening it. If you are still interested, I found mine at Big R in Marion, but probably could find them at a Rural King, as I think they are supplied from the same warehouse.

Figured this needed bumped, just got done shooting a couple hundred rounds so

Seekins AR build- Aprox 1620 rounds without cleaning, runs like a raped ape and silky smooth courtesy of Slip2000 EWL

POF 415- Only 250 rounds without cleaning, but I haven't had it a week so unless I run a case of steel case ammo though it, that thing will never get cleaned unless something breaks

AKs- Haven't shot either in a couple months but they're still soaking in their filth but will shoot just fine

    :)

I generally clean my after every other range trip; unless its a shooting heavy range trip. Some guns I just get bored and clean randomly. I think I cleaned my AR twice in a day once just because I had nothing better to do.

I know its old, but I'll chime in. Depends on the gun. A handgun shooting commercial, probably every 1k or so, don't worry about it a whole lot. If its an AR/AK/milsurp, generally it gets a scrubbing every trip. Not so much because it needs it (confident they would go bang for a looooong time between cleanings), but I like to store clean stuff in the safe, and I'm not always sure when I'm gonna shoot it next (mostly in regards to AKs and old milsurps). I guess I like clean stuff mostly. I'm in the habit of shooting old corrosive ammo, those habits are hard to break. My edc and guns that I may have to depend on, ironically I don't worry about as much, they'll be GTG!

Some of my guns I shoot corrosive ammo so I clean them right as soon as I get home.
Others like my AKs can wait a little while as long as no corrosive ammo was used through them.(they are tough enough to handle it)
My few Pistols get cleaned after the corrosive ammo guns.

rifles and pistols are *almost* after every use. THe exception would be a 2-3 day hunting/shooting trip with family or friends (i.e. check the scope, shoot some targets, let family/friends shoot targets, then coyote or prairie dog the next day) Unless it gave me problems, I would usually just clean it after that weekend. Same thing with pistols, if I'm using it a lot over a couple days, I'll wait until I'm done.
Shotguns, unfortunately, might sit around (a little) dirty for a while at my house
