If I find the necessity to shoot something beyond 100 yards, a rifle is the only way to go. Back in the real world, at less than 100, 30 rounds of .45 acp wil kill anything that is a threat.I prefer a full size rifle with a full power rifle cartridge if I gotta shoot two legged varmints.
Mr Rawles has some pretty good reasons not to carry a PCC if you have a choice.

Someone beyond a 100 yards isn't much of threat, unless you are worried about snipers. In that case, are you going to carry your 1000 yard gun? It's all about the right tool for the job.
Exactly! If I need a rifle, I'm gonna need some magnification too.I figure I can deliver that much 45 ACP in about a second and a half. No problemo.
