I'm not that familiar with the 458 socom but I assume your talking about handloads, or just in general? No thanks, I'll stick with a 458 Socom. Heavier bullets and a wider selection of bullet choices too.

I haven't heard of this but is sounds kinda scary. I've been on 450bushmaster.net and read quite a bit but don't remember reading anything about broken bolts or bolt carriers.I remember at one time that the .450 bushmaster was breaking bolts and bolt carriers in AR15-type rifles due to the higher pressures. Do you know if they've gotten that problem resolved? I like the Bushmaster ballistics a little better than the .458 SOCOM but I went with the SOCOM because it seemed more reliable.

There are some 20 inch uppers on gunbroker that are brand new as of a couple of hours ago.I'm seroiusly thinking about a .450 Bushmaster. My problem right know I can't seem to find a complete upper for sale, new. I was looking at getting on middle of July, but didn't find any to be had.
If you check on www.450bushmaster.net I bet you can find some info on who could do that for you.I have a sporterized M1903A3 that I would like to have re-barreled for .450 Bushmaster.
That is if I can find anybody to do it for me. Any Ideas?
