I have seen a fox run across my yard. I've also lost a small chicken recently. I have an animal cage (3 foot long, animal walks in and triggers the door behing to close).

I've had a few chickens killed/attacked by coons. I've caught and shot 3 of them. What is the best way to catch a fox?

Steel traps and fox scent (urine).
Cover the traps with hay or grass
The fox will think he needs to add his pee to the pile
Put the traps where you think the foxes travel.

Good chance of catching a yote or a dog though.
