Today I was asked to take my special girl shooting, I know, I'm a lucky man. She had never shot a rifle before, and I did have a pair of Magpul MBUS sights i really wanted to try out(yes they are amazing)
first started her off with a red dot, just to get her comfortable. And she had to get acquainted with the rifle.
once she was comfortable she had a real go with the Ruger. all day we shot Winchester Wildcat lubricated 40 gr. lead round nose. This is great value price ammo, not one miss fire the whole day.
Her first target going for accuracy. not to bad for her first time. shots taken with Winchester Wildcat .22 40 grain bullets, at 25 yards. Optics were a BSA Red Dot, the cheapy walmart kind.
Now for the Magpul MBUS trials.
These sights are performers. great for the money. even better for the price. This is a group that can be covered by a half dollar(except the one flyer to the top left) at 50 yards with them on right out of the box.
the Squirrels do not stand a chance now.
And the gun was not loaded, and her finger was not on the trigger for this last picture.
