that's a reason not to text?
i think i'll contunie to text no matter what. i use texting to keep in touch with friends and family, not to conspire crime..
i believe they aready track some phones from time to time and you just don't know about it.
I use my texting for the very same thing and I think you are right about them tracking some phones off and on.
this is why i say nothing that could be construed as -sensitive- in text, on the phone, or on the internet. call me paranoid.
feel free to rifle thru my porn history, dirty messages, and rants about personal accountability.

I go out of my way to talk about sex, drugs, rape and murder in text messages. Just in case they are listening, want to keep them on their toes.
Man I hate when people say "It's OK I have nothing to hide". Misses the whole point. Do we really want need to be a country with EVERYONE being spied upon 24/7? I think this group of police are as creepy as the TSA. Some LEOs wonder why they don't get the love on this site sometimes - here's one reason.

Shared it. I imagine the obligatory "You have nothing to hide if you have nothing to fear" responses will be making their appearance shortly. One point I mentioned is who is going to foot the bill to assemble and maintain the infrastructure required to maintain this much data for two years? Also, at what point will we be safe enough? How much more authority do we give the state over our personal papers and communications?
Chicken Little escaped CFA I see.
You might as well say "This is why I don't email/write letters/keep a journal/have a farking conversation."
whats worse, being spied on for security reasons, or for profit?
google and facebook are some of the biggest companies on earth, and got there by doing exactly this.
because a private company in the end still can't openly have me taken away in chains for what my phone has in its memory.
