I thought it up myself, but come to find out it had been done already - some other folks had thought of it, and I guess the "M" model - I think it was the M - came with it like that from China.
So it was an original idea for me, but I was not the first to do it.
Just FYI, during the cival war the troops would their bayonets like a skewer to cook the chickens they caught. I've cooked a couple myself supported by a Y shaped branch when camping. Lots of uses for these bayonets as a tool.
