I have not seen this movie yet but saw this clip on YouTube and I think the "re-cocking" of that gun is a mistake but not sure.

    http://youtu.be/EiMeq9aVqqk

at 0:30 the guy shoots the gun out the plane
at 0:40 the same guy then cocks the handgun back

hum... for what? Is there not one in the chamber already from the last shoot and it's ready to shoot again and when you shoot this type of gun the hammer will cock back?
    :dunno:

For one, they apparently believe guns are clubs or spears. For another, the guy with the SBR gets muzzle swept so hard, it knocks him over.

I know this is a silly question, but I have to confirm.
We are talking about reality in a MOVIE with BATMAN in it, right?

    Yeah I know. :D

On a serious note will that type of gun (a non-1911) function if you do that to it? I ask since I only am familiar with 1911 style guns.

Watching the first "shot" it seems the hammer and slide don't move so I assume they were not loaded and that the person not having the gun cocked the first time is also a mistake.

Guns in movies are always full of fail. Slides never lock back, shooters are constantly racking slides, empty guns always make a loud "click"...
