I am living on cloud nine right now, today I purchased/traded for a sig sauer 226 in 9mm. This particular sig is unique and kinda cool IMO.

What really sparked my intrest about this sig is... its all FDE, not dura coated, but from the factory. I have seen 2 tone FDE with black but never a solid FDE. All the way to the grips! We said thanks and our goodbyes, and I headed to the armory.

The gun show at the armory was small, cost 5 to get in and much of their items were way over-priced, but it was something to do and I had a shopping list. After gathering another factory mag for the sig and a set of factory black grips, I went to the other tables and picked up some magpul enhanced trigger guards, 2 magpul BAD levers, and a knock off of a TRL2 which by the way looks well built and is just as bright. After 140.00 latter for all from the armory I went home and put the black grips on and was pleased. By the way the flashlight in the pics are not the knock off.

the pics make it look a little lighter in color than what it really is.

When looking online I couldnt find anything of a FDE sig comming from the factory, so here is the question.
Did they make a solid FDE as apart of a limited run or edition
Do they sell them all the time like this and Im just stupid
Or are they by special order only ?

Hope you guys can help and hope you enjoy the pics ( I had to show it off )

Let me know what you think!

Wow that a nice looking Sig. Looks like you got the better end of the deal on value wise but if your both happy thats all that matters. I'm sure some of the SIG experts will chime on here and give you some info.

I have been issued M10 during the Desert Storm theater. M10 is Sig P226 in Military issued #. Great gun and very accurate.

IIRC the only FDE P226s are the ones that came in the SIG556/P226 package and the P226 combat.
    Nice find!
Now you should try to find a set of FDE P226 Combat grips for it.
