Hey guys, I just got rid of my M&P CORE a week ago and now I am in a dilemma. I had ordered a Jpoint red dot for the M&P because I wanted to try out a red dot on a pistol and the jpoint was backordered when I ordered it. Well, I had forgot to cancel it so guess what showed up on my doorstep. My question is: does any gunsmith locally (indy area) mill glock slides for red dots? I am REALLY thinking of putting it on my 19 but I don't really want to send it away to bad. If not, where is the cheapest and great quality place to send the slide? If I can't find any option I like Ill just sell it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm also doing a RMR G19...just received these pics yesterday from Mark Housel of L&M Precision Gunworks out of Prescott, AZ. Super fast turnaround and very reasonable. Mark is a fantastic to work with and quick with communication. Mine was a couple of extra weeks due to the DLC and AiTiN coating.

    You beat me to it.

You both beat me to it. I'm figuring Allen could do this as well. At the time I had Allen do some work for me, I wasn't ready to jump into an RMR, so I did not ask him about it, but maybe at some point I will be. OP, let us know if you contact Allen and what he says on this.

I like the idea of an RMR on a Glock, especially as my the front sight is getting blurry lately.

    buddydog,
I don't personally care for the stippling on the frame, but that slide is down right sexy! Congrats!

I recently had some work done by Mark Housel @ L&M Precision Gunworks as well. I absolutely agree with buddydog - Mark has great communication and is a pleasure to work with. He sent me pics all through the process and also gave me a few options relative to mounting the rear BUIS. I actually had an M&P slide milled out for a Vortex Razor.

derrickgoins, I am surprised Mark put your rear sight in the wrong place. He knows better.:stickpoke:

:): Funny you should say that. We discussed mounting it behind the optic but it would've required some additional material being added to the rear dovetail to bring it up to a good co-witness height. The deck of the Razor is a little taller than an RMR - would've required adding more material, refinishing the slide, some creative measuring, etc etc.

I was wondering if anyone could update on who is doing this locally. I'm wondering if there was any info from AllenM, like pricing, turnaround time, etc.

Ok awesome, thanks for replying. Does he have his own website or email address? I'm not able to pm yet and I don't want to spam the forums to get the required posts.

I am not aware of a website but what are you wanting done. I will let him know.
Good attitude about the spam run.
