I have a G21 gen 3 and get a solid grip on it. I also have a G40 gen 4 that I shoot without any additional backstrap installed and I like the feel of G40 better.
I've had a gen 3 G20 and a gen 4 G20. I only sold the gen 4 to fund another project, and I regret it. I hope to get another one soon.
Definitely get either a gen 4 or a gen 3 SF, unless you have ape hands. Otherwise, I found mine to be perfectly comfortable to conceal and I did so on a regular basis. Don't cheap out on the holster or belt, and it'll conceal just fine. I used an Aker VMII clone with a Hank's belt.
My brother who is 6'5" carried his 21 for quite some time. But then he also carried a Coonan for a while. These days he is Glock 19 though. How do you typically carry (what holster style, etc)?
I love my G21 Gen 4. Fits my hand great and I’m accurate with it. 14 rounds of 45acp. I wanted to like FN better, SIG, and others. But just like my 19 and 26, they are reliable and accurate and I wouldn’t trad em’ for any other comparable gun.
I owned one for a handful of years. It was a wonderful shooter.
I picked up and fired a G19 and made the switch. Haven't looked back.
I can make 1000 9mm for same money as 500 45acp. G19 is a much better fit for carry and actual use. The 21 was big, heavy, holds less rounds, and costly to shoot.
I have a Glock 30S and a Glock 36...love the 10 rounds that the 30S offers, but also love the 'thinness' that the Glock 36 offers.
Both are equally accurate (they're both amongst my most accurate pistols) and shoot the .45 acp fairly comfortable as well!
The Glock 21 is a bit big for EDC but for home defense, it's awesome in that role, especially with a set of tritium night sights!
The Glock 30S takes the Glock 21 mags...so you can still have 13+1 rounds, but in something that you can EDC as well!
